Figure 4 provides data on flows above 15,000 cfs. The Yampa
River itself produces flows of 15,000 cfs regularly (see Figure 4
for flow data on the Yampa during 1993), thus flows in a larger
river such as the Green, would be expected to equal or exceed
20,000 cfs or more on many years. Large flows are required to
perform enough work to modify stream channels and provide habitat
conditions for native riparian plant species establishment.
