33 <br />RESULTS AND DISCUSSION <br />Hydrographic analysis <br />Since the construction of Flaming Gorge Dam, peak flows have been reduced and <br />base flows increased in the Green River. Post-dam discharges were lower about 25% of <br />the time, and higher 75% of the time (Figure 4). The grand mean <br />of discharges for the pre-dam period in the Yampa was 53 m3/s, whereas the post-dam <br />mean was 63 m3/s. This is a difference of nearly 19% between the two periods.
