1 2.3.6 Coordinated Reservoir Operations Group
' It is recommended that the Coordinated Reservoir Operations Group be the entity to actually
make decisions when to release or otherwise make water available from the average annual
20,000 acre-feet. This group would have sufficient operating and management resources to
' determine when and how much water should be released or otherwise made available from
specific facilities.
i Operations policies and procedures will need to be specified in Phase 2 to enable the Coordinated
Reservoir Operations Group to operate components of the system to provide an annual average
of 20,000 acre-feet. If the average annual 20,000 acre-feet is to, be supplied from a number of
sources, consideration must be given to the order, priority, frequency, amount and duration of
supply from each source.

2.3.7 Piscatorial Purposes
A water right decreed for piscatorial purposes may be required for implementation of several of
the alternatives analyzed in this report. It may be necessary, therefore, to obtain a junior water
right for piscatorial purposes in order to implement those alternatives where there is no existing
water right for piscatorial purposes. The necessity and frequency of obtaining such a junior right
will be further determined in Phase 2 of this investigation.
p:\data\gen\0cwcb\18133\report\phase-1\chap-2.doc 2-11
