Lowest temperature recorded <br />was 7.0° C on 17 February at Site I . <br />• <br />' Maximum and representative depths were relatively constant throughout 1996 (Table 5). <br />Representative depths ranged from 9.5 - 19.5 cm. Velocity was highly variable at sampling sites <br />in 1996. Mean velocities ranged from 44.3 cm/s on 13 August to 6l .6 cm/s on 15 March. The <br />lowest velocity was recorded on 16 April (2 cm/s) and the highest on 27 July (106 cm/s). <br />Paris River discharge in 1996 was relatively stable with few spates (Figure 5).
