Velocity in the Paris River is swift for <br />larval fishes. However, it has a low base flow and, in places, acobble/boulder substrate, making <br />it easy for larvae to find slow water along shore or behind rocks. <br />Depth <br />Representative and maximum depth of the sampling sites varied on each trip, largely due <br />to variation in river discharge during the sampling period (Table 4).
