Y
time) and concomitant dispersal and predation studies would
evaluate tYteir survival.
Winter stockings may be desirable if colder temperatures
reduce predator activity. This concept will be evaluated in 198b
in the Gila River. It is also possible that winter conditions
will reduce downstream dispersal of stocked razorbacks. Other
studies to be conducted in 19$6 include dispersal of and
predation on 1+ year olds reared at PSH and raceway conditioning
comparisons for razorback sucker, Colorado squawfish and bonytail
chub at DNFH.
Acknowledgements
All the field, lab and office time necessary for this
project are generously contributed by personnel from AGFD, ASU,
BR, BLM, and FWS. This interagency cooperation is exemplary of
"how to get the job done." Paul Marsh was largely responsible
for collection and analysis of catfish abundance and predation
data. Sharon Coats, DNFH, performed all word processing. This
report was reviewed and improved by Buddy Jensen, Terry Johnson,
and Paul Marsh.

-1 U-
