UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT FM 0 awl
?`J A
Memorandum
TO CRFP-Vernal DATE:
oziozise
FROM • Hatchery Biologist, FpCC, Fort Morgan, CO
SUBJECT. Diagnostic report - humpback suckers
As we discussed in our phone conversation earlier today, I found no
indications of infectious diseases in the four humpback suckers you
sent express mail on February 1, 1988.
I did find gas bubbles in the heart_of 2 of the 4 fish. Let me
know how your saturometer testing turns out.
I checked brains and cranial cartilage scrapes for parasites that
might cause loss of eauilibrium and found none. I suspect the
equilibrium problems are a result of poor nutrition (as we also
discussed) or gas supersaturation.
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Dennis Anderson
CHN: 88-83
?1 •4
Letter 1. Copy of letter from the Federal Disease Control Center,
Fort Morgan, Colorado about diagnosis of razorback
suckers received from CRFP, Vernal, Utah on 1 February
1988.
