Oql+ C" -K 5
Colorado ecosystem artnershi
p p
00 ... governments, citizens and scientists working teagedw ...
August 30,1994
This notebook is a product of the Colorado Ecosystem Partnership (CEP) - seven state agencies and
seven federal agencies whose purpose in working together is to achieve resource management and
protection that is ecologically sustainable, economically feasible, and socially acceptable. Through CEP,
governments, citizens, and scientists can work together to achieve these purposes, but the real measure
of how to meet these purposes is what happens at the local or project level - "out in the field" or in
the "real world".
The purpose of this notebook is to share information about local efforts in implementing ecosystem
management.
Note that there are no page numbers. This is intentional. The projects are in alphabetical order.
As new project writeups are received, they can be inserted and a new table of contents prepared.
There is also a table of contents arranged by topics or issues. An attempt will be made to keep the
material in the notebook current and use a distribution list to send out updates so that all benefit
• from the new information. The notebook is over-sized so that many more local efforts can be written
up and shared statewide.
The Colorado map on each writeup is intended to locate approximately the project and display its
relative size.
Sincerely,
C??
