r ~ <br />_- ~ T ~ <br />rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri) were responsible for a 20~o relative <br />-- decline in native fish abundance. Species diversity (TU index) values <br />increased both above and below the reservoir basin due to non-native <br />species expansion, and a leveling amongst the resident species <br />abundances. An unknown portion of the flannelmouth sucker population <br />apparently vacated the tailrace area in response to reduced temperature <br />and turbidity.- Evidence for this was based on a lower than expected <br />incidence of recapture, lower total catch rates and increased <br />individual net movement following completion of Taylor Draw Dam. <br />Thomas E.
