This work is described in
Chapter 5 of this study. The USFWS developed preliminary recommended fish flows for
the lower Duchesne River, which are described in Chapter 8 of this report. Letters
describing the recommendations are included in the Appendices. The State of Utah
(Division of Wildlife Resources) commissioned a study of the geomorphic history of the
lower Duchesne River. This study, entitled the The Duchesne River Channel, A Geomorphic
History, 1875-1995, was reviewed as part of this study, but did not directly relate to the
study efforts. The USFWS has also done a review of biological studies of the lower
Duchesne River. However, very little biological data is available.
' Acknowledgments
CH2M HILL wishes to thank the following individuals and organizations for their
' cooperation and assistance in providing information used while working with us in preparing
this study.
Central Utah Water Conservancy District
' Mr. Gene Shawcroft, Project Manager
Mr. Terry Holzworth, UBRP Project Manager
Mr. Rich Tullis, Operations and Maintenance Manager
' Mr. Keith Hooper, Duchesne Area Coordinator
' United States Fish and Wildlife Service
Mr. Bob Williams, Biologist
Mr. George Smith, Hydrologist
1
1

Duchesne/Strawberry River Commissioner
Mr. John Swasey, Duchesne/Strawberry River Commissioner
Utah Department of Natural Resources
Mr. Barry Saunders, Utah Department Natural Resources
Provo River Water Users Association
Mr. Keith Denos, Superintendent
Moon Lake Water Users
Mr. Lynn Winterton, Manager
Ute Indian Tribe
Mr. Tod Smith, Attorney
Strawberry Water Users Association
Mr. Gary Aitken
SLC113410TREPTI.DOC 1 -4
