We are attaching tagging <br />lists of the larger juveniles and adults of each endangered species handled in <br />1990. A summary of our collection activities by species follows: <br />COLORADO SQUAWFISH <br />The Vernal office recorded 7 captureedof Nonerweoresrecafturesn Three ripe <br />P <br />electrofishing. Four fish were tagg <br />males and one ripe female were caught, the other 3 were not in breeding <br />condition, so could not be sexed. A sperm sample was taken from one ripe <br />male. <br />During a drift-netting study in conjunction with Coturedowithtan unknownty~ <br />approximately 80 larval Colorado squawfish were cap <br />number of non-target fish. All samples were sent to CSU for analysis. <br />At Ouray as of November 1990, we have 82 Colorado squawfish from the Dexter <br />Hatchery. <br />RAZORBACK SUCKER <br />The Vernal office recorded 39 captures of adult razorback taggeds dAllnbut two <br />spring electrofishing. 17 were recaptures, 22 were newly <br />were caught in breeding condition, 29 were ripe males, 8 were ripe females. <br />All were released alive. <br />A total of 13 fish were stripped in the field. Fertiltzed eggs 120ewereubated <br />at the Ouray hatchery, and resulted in approximately 8600 fry. <br />saved for broodstock, the remainder (8480) stocked to rearing ponds for the <br />summer, which had 46% survival rate. In September, 4700 fish from 1989 were <br />stocked to three locations in the Green River near Ouray and 120 were used in <br />
