ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
This report was made possible by the research of many investigators, many
of whom we cite, all of whom we acknowledge. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation,
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. National Park Service, U.S. Bureau of
Land Management, and the U.S. Congress provided funds and support. Over 50
biologists with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Utah Division of Wildlife
Resources, Colorado Division of Wildlife and U.S. National Park Service
cooperated in collection of field data, upon which the findings of this report
are based. J. Hamill, R. Williams, K. Rose, H. Maddux, and L. Mills furnished
guidance in the formulation of the manuscript. The Technical Group of the
Upper Colorado River Basin Coordinating Committee approved funding for this
report. R. Williams was the Bureau of Reclamation liaison and contracting
officer for most of the contracts presented herein. We especially thank W.L.
Minckley, P. Cleavinger, M. Chase, and others who volunteered their time to
assist us with our field work.
35
