~I <br />' 3.3.5 1991 Year Class <br />A total of 83 age-0 Colorado squawfish were captured in the lower 50 miles of Reach 1 in fall 1991. Total <br />numbers decreased by 46% to 45 by the following spring. Catch rates decreased by 37% from 2.30/100 m2 in <br />' fall to 1.44/100 mz in spring. <br />Fish captured in fall 1991 averaged 44 mm TL and ranged from 27 to 60 mm TL. Age-0 squaw6sh captured <br />in spring 1992 averaged 42 mm TL with a range of 25 to 64 mm TL. No overwinter growth was observed. <br />No juvenile Colorado squawfish were captured in fall or spring sampling. <br />' 3.3.6 1992 Year Class <br />A total of 103 age-0 Colorado squawfish were captured in Reach 1 in fall 1992. Total numbers decreased by <br />' 83% to 18 by the following spring. Catch rates increased by 9% from 0.84/100 mZ in fall to 0.92/100 m2 in <br />spring. <br />Fish captured in fall 1992 averaged 34 mm TL and ranged from 21 to 59 mm TL (Table 7). Age-0 squawfish <br />captured in spring 1993 averaged 40 mm TL with a range of 29 to 60 mm TL. Average total length increased <br />by 6 mm from fall to spring. <br />Five juvenile Colorado squaw6sh, ranging from 65 to 68 mm TL were captured in fall 1992 (Table 8).
