has been collected from the Colorado River, Colorado (1988, RM <br />146.7) during the standardized monitoring program collections from <br />1986 to 1990 (pers. comm., P. J. Martinez, Colorado Division of <br />Wildlife); none are known from the Colorado River in Utah. <br />Razorback suckers formerly occurred at the diversion to Highline <br />Canal -(Kidd 1977, pers. comm., P. J. Martinez). Two adult <br />razorback suckers (495 and 545 mm TL) were captured in Highline <br />Reservoir near Grand Junction, one on 5 April 1988 and one on 28 <br />September 1989, and another may have been sighted there (pers. <br />comm., P. J. Martinez). During April 1990, four more adult <br />razorback suckers in breeding condition were collected along with <br />ripe and presumably-spawning, white and flannelmouth suckers. <br />Highline Reservoir is a drain-water collection reservoir that has a <br />source canal from the Colorado River just upstream of the Grand <br />Valley Diversion. <br />Recent collections indicate that the formerly large Gunnison <br />River razorback sucker population is much reduced. Only two <br />specimens are known from there since 1970 (Kidd 1977, Wiltzius <br />1978, Valdez et al. 1982b, McAda 1987). <br />Green River Sub-basin--The Green River sub-basin consists of <br />the mainstream Green River and its major tributaries, the Price, <br />Duchesne, White, and Yampa rivers. Historic distribution of the <br />razorback sucker in the Green River extended from the confluence <br />of the Green and Colorado rivers upstream to Green River, Wyoming <br />(Jordan 1891, Evermann and Rutter 1895, Simon 1946, Sigler and <br />Miller 1963, Baxter and Simon 1970, Vanicek et al. 1970). <br />22 <br />
