a;a tc ^::.i.^.*_ain ^r establish five sr_lf-sustaining populations and <br />natural habitat, and two hatchery refugia (USFWS l9£i7)• <br />HumF~back chub habitats throughout the Upper Basin will be <br />mapped as part of a cooperative agreement between CnOW and_USFWS. <br />The habitat maps are based primarily on species distribution, and <br />may be incomplete. The possible discovery of new populations, or <br />the resolution of taxonomic questions, could result in more complete <br />maps in the future. <br />Humpback chub activity areas are identified based on <br />information presented in UCRBCC (1984). Habitat maps for humpback <br />chub will conform to this document until an updated version is <br />produced. Four activity area types are identified for adult <br />humpback chubs They are 1) distribution, 2) concentration areas, 3) <br />confirmed spawning areas, 4) suspected spawning areas. These <br />activity area types are defined in Appendix B. <br /> <br />12 <br />
