ABOUT DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE <br />Defenders of Wildlife is a national, nonprofit membership organization headquar- <br />tered in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1947, Defenders has nearly half a century <br />of leadership in educating and advocating for the protection, restoration, and <br />enhancement of all species of wild animals and plants in their natural communi- <br />ties. <br />Defenders' staff of wildlife professionals works to shape policy and programs at <br />the state and federal levels through numerous partnership efforts with public <br />agencies.
