IV. Field Data Analysis and Results
A. Cross Sections. The survey data for the 23 cross sections were reduced and entered
as computer files for cross section plots. The original survey data is presented in Appendix
A. A computer program reorganizes the data into files for the plot routines. The cross section
plots are presented as Exhibit A, Sheets 1 through 4. The cross section data were also
transcribed into GR-cards for the HEC-2 backwater simulation. Table 1 lists the cross sections
monitored and the approximate discharges when the surveys were conducted. A brief review
of the cross section changes during the high flow season is discussed in Table 2. A photo log
(Appendix C) was created of the cross sections surveyed during all three trips in 1993.
Exhibit B displays the cross sections and endpoint coordinates and elevations.
Inadvertently, cross section E-15.5 endpoint coordinates and the E-15 right endpoint
coordinates were not surveyed. These coordinates can be assigned when the wetlands
topography is surveyed for hydraulic design of the inflow channel.
10
