Page 72 <br />CONSERVATION COMMITMENT <br /> <br /> <br />The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado River Office (Reclamation), hereby states <br />its intent and commitment to assist with and participate in the implementation of the <br />Conservation and Management Plan for Three Fish Species in Utah, as prepared by the Utah <br />Division of Wildlife Resources. Specific commitments made hereby are as follows: <br />To provide one staff member as a representative to the Three Species <br />Conservation Team, which is comprised of all signatory agencies. <br />2. To consider possible impacts from all Bureau of Reclamation activities on the <br />three species and their habitats and to take measures to avoid and/or mitigate such <br />impacts whenever possible within constraints of Bureau of Reclamation policy <br />and regulations. <br />Performance of all activities listed above is contingent upon the annual receipt of <br />adequate funding. This commitment shall not prohibit the signatory agency from <br />engaging in management actions regarding three species conservation beyond those <br />described in this commitment page and in the associated Plan. Such management actions , <br />should be coordinated with the Three Species Conservation Team. <br />This commitment shall become effective on the date of signature by the participating <br />party and shall remain in effect until the signatory party chooses to terminate the <br />commitment or until the Three Species Conservation Team decides (by consensus) to <br />terminate the plan. The signatory party will provide 90 days written notification to the <br />other parties upon deciding to terminate involvement. ! <br />The Bureau of Reclamation is ganted authority to enter into this commitment through 43 <br />CFR 24.6, USDI fish and wildlife policy on state and federal relationships; the Fish and <br />Wildlife Coordination Act, as amended; and the Small Reclamation Projects Act of 1956, <br />as amended. <br />By signing the document below, Reclamation acknowledges that it is also signing as a . <br />party and participant to the whole of the Three Species Conservation and Management <br />Plan attached hereto. <br />7 <br />Bruce Barrett, Provo Area Manager Da e i <br />Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
