Drainage -Elkhead Creek, Yampa River <br />3. Size - 440 surface acres <br />4. Location - 8 miles NE of Craig; T7N,R89W, Sec. 16 <br />5. Elevation - 6,360 feet <br />6. Maximum depth - 58 feet <br />• <br />B. Physical Description: Elkhead Reservoir is a large water situated on <br />Elkhead Creek, which flows into the Yampa River above the City of Craig. <br />C. Existing fish community -Northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth <br />~ bass, black crappie, channel catfish, bluegill, white sucker, roundtail chub, <br />flannelmouth sucker, bluehead sucker, speckled dace, and fathead minnow <br />were present in 1993. <br />II. Management Strategy <br />~ A. Manage as a bass fishery. <br />B. Regulate with special length and bag limits for largemouth and smallmouth <br />bass l2 fish > 15"). <br />III.
