CJ <br />• <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />The following lake management plans have been prepared pursuant to the <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />guidelines in the interim Procedures for Stocking Nonnative Fish Species in the Up,p~r_ <br />Colorado River Basin, (March 10, 19941. Waters included in this report were <br />evaluated based on the criteria in Table 1 of the Procedures to determine if the <br />Colorado Division of Wildlife's (CDOW) proposed fish stocking necessitated acase-by- <br />case review. Only those waters which require such a review are included in this <br />report. These waters include: <br />• Connected Lake -Small <br />• Connected Lake -Large <br />• Corn Lake <br />• Duke Lake <br />• Elkhead Reservoir <br />• Harvey Gap Reservoir <br />• Highline Reservoir <br />• Island Acres Pond <br />• Parachute Pond <br />• Rifle I-70 Rest Stop Pond <br />• Thirty Road Pond <br />The sections entitled, "Introduction" and "Monitoring" apply to all sites. <br />Additional information on escapement potential and plausible impacts to threatened <br />and endangered species is provided for specific waters in the section entitled, <br />"Reservoir Description and Evaluation." <br />According to the review process prescribed in the Interim Procedures, this <br />• <br />• <br />document will be submitted to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Wyoming, Utah, <br />New Mexico, other participants in the Recovery Implementation Program, and the <br />general public fora 60-day review period. Further details of this review process are <br />described in the Interim Procedures which are placed in the appendix of this report. <br />• <br />
