<br />~ RESERVOIR DESCRIPTION AND EVALUATION <br />In this section, information for specific waters is presented in a standardized <br />format to condense the report and to provide a consistent description of all sub- <br />~ sections provided for each water. Following is a description of the sub-sections <br />provided for each water: (1) Introduction -includes CDOW management category, <br />physical characteristics, composition of existing fish community; 12) Management <br />• S r to - a description of the type of fishing the CDOW is trying to create and any <br />special angling regulations which may be proposed; (3) Stocking Needs -specific <br />details on species, number and dates of proposed stocking; (4) Escapement Factors - <br />• description of escapement potential for stocked fish, survival potential for stocked <br />fish that escape from impoundments, and control measures employed to avoid <br />escapement; and (5) Impact to Endangered Species -assessment of potential impacts <br />• if stocked sportfish escape, and a description of measures to remedy any resulting <br />impact. <br />A location map for each proposed site is also provided. These maps ~ rzq~ <br />• <br />reflect specific information on the 40-year floodplain. Maps detailing the 40-year <br />floodplain are presently being prepared by the Colorado Department of Natural <br />Resources' Water Conservation Board staff and will be made available for review by <br />• c <br />October, 1994. <br />Decision charts indicating how waters were determined to require acase-by- <br />case proposal are provided in Appendix C. These charts refer to Table 1 of the <br />• Interim Procedures and describe why each water was ineligible for "routine stocking." <br />• <br />
