eight anal rays for this species, as did Scott and
Crossman (1973) although the last authors were
aware of literature that reported a range of eight
to 10 anal rays. Our data were consistent with
that of Scott and Crossman (1973) who reported
"8, seldom 9" anal rays for P. oregonensis.
