Trampe is president of the Colorado River District Board, representing <br />Gunnison County. <br />Mr. Trampe is a lifelong cattle rancher who has coupled his everyday experiences in water <br />with involvement in water organizations. Mr. Trampe has a strong interest in natural re- <br />source issues, quality of life issues and the sustainability of communities whose economies <br />depend on water. <br />He formerly served on the Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District Board, and <br />was a founding member of the Gunnison Ranchland Conservation Legacy. <br />Mr. Trampe is participating in the state's Water for the 21 st Century (HB 1177) process, <br />sitting on the Gunnison River Basin Roundtable - one of nine across the state. <br />He was appointed to the Interbasin Compact Committee that will work with the nine re- <br />gional roundtables in the Water for the 21 st Century process. <br />
