4. Recommend Council reaffirm position on grass carp introductions in basin
states.
S. Subtechnical Committee involvement and performance. Need Council approval
for full participation of biological disciplines.
There is still need for greater participation from the wildlife segment of member
organizations. Many of the environmental issues common to the basin states could
be better handled by a broader spectrum of biologists and managers. The Technical
Committee Chairman urges the directors from member states to involve more diverse
representatives and participation at the Subtechnical and Technical Committee meetings.
Ivan Wescoatt should be provided a resolution from the Council -- in appreciation.
Also, letter of appreciation from Secretary John Donaldson, from Technical Committee,
prior to Ivan's retirement, February 17 (Donaldson will handle it).
