A Look to the Future <br /> <br />In an era of water shortages, tight budgets, and growing demands in the <br />western states, the reallocation and transfer of water rights promises to <br />remain an important and controversial topic into the next decade. In <br />Session IV, a panel of experts will share their views on the future character <br />of water marketing and how water transfers may influence the future <br />character of the West. <br /> <br />1 :30 pm Water Marketing and the Future of the West <br /> <br />Moderator: Steven J. (Directed the regional effort to assess water efficiency and <br />transfer needs, including recommendations for future state and federal <br />actions.) <br />F. A shuttle service to <br />and from the airport and the <br />program has been arranged for <br />registrants. An outstanding room <br />rate has been arranged for our <br />registrants, $48 per night, single or <br />double occupancy. Reservations may <br />be made by calling the Reservations <br />Department at 303/399-7500. You <br />must identify yourself as a Water <br />Marketing Conference registrant to <br />secure this low rate. The hold on <br />these rooms expires in late <br />September, so please make your <br />reservation early. <br /> <br />Cancellations <br />Full refunds, less a $25 <br />administrative charge, will be given <br />to registrants who cancel up to one <br />week prior to the date the program <br />begins. No refunds will be granted <br />thereafter. Materials will be sent to <br />no-shows. <br /> <br />Mandatory Continuing Legal <br />Education <br />Credit has been applied for in all <br />mandatory cle jurisdictions. The <br />Colorado Supreme Court Board of <br />Continuing Legal and Judicial <br />Education has accredited this course <br />for 12 units of general credit. <br /> <br />Location <br />All sessions will be held in the Lowell <br />Thomas Law Building, 1900 Olive <br />Street, Denver, Colorado. <br /> <br />Registration Fee <br />Registration for the program is <br />$290. The fee for staff members of <br />non-profit organizations and <br />university professors is $190. There <br />is a $10 late registration fee for <br />registrations received after October <br />1, 1987.
