biological opinions, with a view toward meeting the needs of the
fish. A draft biological opinion on Flaming Gorge is dqe to' be
released at the end of July (1991). The opinion w!ll cont~in
certain qqantitative flow recommendations for the Green.River
downstream from the dam, that will in turnaftect the operation
and PO,wer generat!on o'f this Colorado, River storage ~roject
facil!ty.

The environmental community has been awaiting the draft
opinion tor some time and intends to' be very much !nvolved !n its
review. 1t the flow recommendations hold up and are implemented,
it will be an im~ortant step toward recovery and a faVorable sign
for the review of Blue Mesa, the next reservoir on the list.
