<br />Colorado River - IS-Mile Reach <br /> <br />The IS-Mile Reach of the Colorado River is from Palisade, Colorado (RM 18S) <br /> <br /> <br />downstream to the confluence of the Gunnison River at about RM 170 (Figure 4). Two major <br /> <br /> <br />upstream diversions dewater the river in the IS-Mile Reach during the irrigation season (April <br /> <br /> <br />1 to November 5). The Government Highline diversion is located in lower Debeque Canyon <br /> <br />(RM 193.7) and the Highline canal has a capacity of 1,620 cfs. The Grand Valley diversion <br /> <br />dam is at RM 18S.4 and the Grand Valley canal has a capacity of 640 cfs. A USGS gauge is <br /> <br />located about 0.4 km downstream from the intake for the Grand Valley canal (Figure 4). The <br /> <br />study site is a 4-km section located from RM 177.4, which is at the boat launch at ComLake, <br /> <br />downstream to RM 174.9. <br /> <br />";. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />8 <br />
