<br />Table 6 provides data for these two habitat types for 1981 and <br />1983. There were 227 contacts made of 23 radiotagged Colorado squawfish, <br />with close agreement in habitat use between years. The Colorado squawfish <br />were monitored in pools with an average depth and velocity of 7.4 ft and <br />1.5 fps respectively and in riffles with an average depth and velocity <br />of 3.3 ft and 1.6 fps respectively. <br /> <br />Cobble size located at the point of spawning for the Yampa River <br />site was determined by measuring 10 cobbles taken at two sites ina <br />area selected from 58em depth water at locations where radiotelemetered <br />fish appeared to be spawning. The average size of the cobbles at these <br />locations, (length X width) were 1560 cm3 respectively. <br /> <br />Table 6.
