What apparent effect did volu.'11B of water flow, <br /> <br />turbidity, and temperature have on the distribution ot the fish fauna? <br />2. \--/hat relationships atfecting oomposi tion and dis- <br />tribution existed between the fish fauna and the various bottom types? <br /> <br />J. ~fuat relationship existed between the various <br />fish speoies and the presenoe or absence of specific types ot food? <br />4. ~fuat apparent eftect did the aocidental stream <br />pollution by rotenone during September, 1962, have on fish species <br /> <br />distribution? <br /> <br />Delimitations <br /> <br />The thesis area was the Green River from BrOwn'lI Park Bridge, <br /> <br />lbtfat County, Colorado, to Split l'bunta1n Campground at the south <br />boundary of Dinosaur National l'bnument. A 12-mile section ot the Yampa <br /> <br />River upstream from its connuence with the Green River to Castle Park <br /> <br />was also included. <br /> <br />Data were taken from six study areas established wi thin the <br /> <br />the.sis area and other accessible looations. Periodic colleotions of <br /> <br />t1.sh were m&de in the fall ot 1961 and the spring of 1962. Hare extensive <br />collections were made during the summer and fall at 1962. <br />
