GREASONS: Cowhead Lake tui chubs have a highly restricted range. These
fish are vulnerable to destruction of habitat by grazing
cattle, diversion of their water supply, and use of
pesticides.

and the size of the population.

GINVENNEED: Determine baseline population sizes and variablity in
population sizes.

Have BLM declare the slough an Area of Critical
Environmental Concern. Aquire or otherwise protect the
habitat on private land, obtain water rights to ensure
adequate flows in the slough.

Establish a yearly monitoring program. Manage the slough for
chub not cows.
