Carlson Dept. of Fishery and Wildlife BiologYt CSU, Fort Collins Information contained in this presentation is based on data generated from an ongoing investigation of the taxonomy of larval and early-juvenile GiZa native to the Upper Colorado River Basin. Results are in need of rigorous test- ing and most likely will be refined once analyses are completed; therefore, they should be considered provisional at this time and may not be pUblished or quoted without permission of the researchers. A final report on this research should be finished and available in the Fall. 1985. The accompanying graphic illustrations and tables summarize characteristicst found to be diagnostic and pertinent methods. Until copies of the final report are available, refer to Snyder (United States Dep. Inter. Bur. Land Mgt. Bio. Sci. Sere No.3, Denver, Colorado, 1981) for a more detailed description of most terms, taxonomic characteristics, and methods utilized in this research.
