<br />Comparisons of length frequency distributions between channel catfish and <br />Colorado squawfish occupying the same river habitat indicated the catfish <br />population generally consisted of smaller fish than found in the eolorado <br />squawfish population (Figure 4). Chi-square analysis resulted in a <br />significant difference between the two distributions at the P=O.Ol level. The <br />greatest abundance of channel catfish occurred at 400-440 rom total length, <br />which was well below the length frequency peak for Colorado squawfish at 520- <br />640 rom. <br /> <br />19 <br />
