Personal Data: Born at M:mdovi., Wisconson, Feburary 11, 1944,
son o:f Wesley J. and Norma T. Holden.

Education: Attended elementary school in Mondovi, Wisconsin;
graduated from Mondovi High School in 1962 ; received the
Bachelor of Science degree from University of Wisconsin-
Stevens Point , with a double major in conservation and
biology, in 1966; entered graduate school at Utah State
University in fishery biology, studied one quarter in 1967
at Colorado State University; received the Master of
Science degree at Utah State University in 1968; completed
requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy degree, special-
izing in aquatic ecology--studied the native fi~es of the
Colorado River, in 1973.

Professional Experience: 1972-73, instructor, Wildlife Sciences
Department, Utah State University; 1969-72, teaching assist-
ant, Wildlife Sd ences Department, Utah State University;
1966-69, re search :fellow in :fish systematics, Utah State
University; Summer 1966, research aid, University of Wis-
consin-Stevens Point, on a study of the fishes of the wild
rivers of Wisconsin; 1965-66, zoology lab assistant, Univer-
sity of Wisconsin-Stevens Point; Summer, 1965, worked for
U.S. Fcrest Service in Samon National Forest, Idaho.
