States that G. elegans was last recorded in the Grand Canyon
area in early 1940s (based on National Park Service records,
no specimens to validate) but that they were taken "more
recently" from Spencer Creek (lower canyon area)(no source
- - given?) and from the Little Colorado River at Grand Falls
based on "Miller (1963)" (not found among Miller-
publications known to me and no such specimens located at
U. Mich. Mus. Zool.). States that G. robusta was last
recorded in Glen Canyon Dam area in 1966 (Ariz. Game &
Fish). Gila c ha occurred sporadically in collections from
- Lee's Ferry downstream to the lower Canyon area and were
thought to occur in upper Lake Mead. Concentrations occur
in the Little Colorado River and just upstream of it in the
main Colorado River.
