<br />lium exhibited hydropic vacuolation, but in such
<br />cases, the epithelial nuclei were not swollen. De-
<br />generated tubules, lymphocytic infiltration, and
<br />acidophilic tubule inclusions were observed in
<br />some tissue sections. The trunk kidney of treat-
<br />ment striped bass had normal glomeruli, and dis-
<br />
<br />tal and collecting tubule structure was unaffected
<br />by dietary treatment. Renal tubule damage similar
<br />to that observed in treatment striped bass has been
<br />documented in studies of other fish subjected to
<br />excessive selenium exposure. Green sunfish from
<br />selenium-contaminated Martin Lake and Belews
<br />Lake have shown similar tubule damage in ad-
