Assays of allopatric <br /> <br />(and presumably pure) populations yielded gene regions situated <br /> <br />on a homomorphic chromosome pair, while sympatric populations <br /> <br />yielded individuals regardless of species designation with these <br /> <br />genes arranged in heteromorphy, one chromosome like that from q. <br /> <br />robusta and the other like the one from G. cypha or G. elegans. <br /> <br />4 <br />
