Therefore, the Green <br />Mountain Water Sales Project would have no effect on bald eagles along <br />the Colorado River and its tributaries. The cumulative depletion of <br />numerous proposed projects on the upper Colorado River system was pre- <br />sented in Table 4. This level of depletion would reduce the peak <br />flooding of the river and could reduce cottonwood reproduction, which <br />rel ies on flooding for proper germination. It is not known at what <br />level the flooding needs to drop to before the number of roost trees <br />would be reduced or how 10ng it would take for roost trees to disappear. <br />Therefore, this alternative would have no effect on bald eagles. <br /> <br />- 43 - <br />
