cially in the upper Colorado River (Kidd 1977), corresponding to the
time of major flow alterations in the river. Razorback sucker and flan-
nelmouth sucker hybrids have been collected in the Colorado River since
the late 1800's (Jordan 1891; Valdez et al 1982), and although hybrids
are found today hybridization does not appear to be a major factor
affecting the wellbeing of the species.
