This map shows channel changes between 1961 and 1986, as
developed from aerial photography. Liaht areen areas are
permanently vegetated (salt cedar, willow, and cotton'wood) islands
that have persisted throughout the period. Dark areen areas are
vertical and lateral accretion deposits; they are areas that were
sand bars or sand bed flood overflow ,channels and that have
subsequently been colonized by woody vegetation. Red areas were
formerly vegetated floodplains and terraces that are now part of the
active channel. Stippled areas were exposed sand bars in 1961, and
ye Ilow areas were exposed sand bars in 1986.

Base map developed from Brennan Basin and Pelican Lake 1 :24000 quadrangles.
Mapping was conducted as part of Mayers' on-going quantification of dam-induced
channel adjustments between Jensen and Green River, UTe
