Water users below G1enwood Canyon need only provide water for the downstream Cameo calls and other downstream calls that may be perfected. If long-term contracts from Green Mountain water sales are not avail- able, each entity would be required to turn to either interim Green Moun- tain contracts or other sources of water for augmentation purposes or curtail their present or future water use. Depending on the location and intended use of the water, a number of sources other than Green Mountain are available (see Section 2.3). 2.2. Alternatives Considered in Detail Alternative 1 - No-Action Alternative. This alternative reflects the present reservoir operational practices under Senate Document 80. This can be considered the baseline alternative in that water use patterns based on historic flows would continue. Water may continue to be available for interim water sales contracts (as with the present interim sales which range from 1,200 to 1,400 acre-feet), but there would be no long-term contracts for water sales. Environmental impacts of such sales would be addressed on a year-by-year, case-by-case, basis and adverse impacts mitigated as required. 2-5
