National Irrigation Water Quality Program Guidelines

The relationship shown here between weight/
weight measurements and weight/volume
measurements comes about because 1 liter of
water weighs almost exactly 1 kilogram.

Acknowledgments

The material presented here was assembled
under the direction of Richard A. Engberg,
NIWQP Manager, Department of the Interior.
The effort began in December 1994 with the
formation of an ad hoc NIWQP Committee on
Guidelines for Data Interpretation. The
committee determined the scope and format
of the report and made early work assign-
ments for it. Committee members are:

Jeff Lucero (Chairman)
Bureau of Reclamation

Jan Hren (succeeded by Herman Feltz)
U.S. Geological Survey

Steve Smith (succeeded by Tim Hall)
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Frank Khattat (succeeded by Lewis Fry)
Bureau of Indian Affairs

James W. Martin of
the Bureau of Reclamation, with guidance and
advice from Denise E. Larsen. Martin and
Larsen also reorganized the chapters to give
them a consistent organization and added
some supplementary material.

The manuscript was greatly improved
through technical reviews provided by the
following individuals and organizations:

I

I

CH2M Hill
Harry Ohlendorf

I

U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs
Lewis Fry

I

U.S. Bureau of Reclamation
Michael Armbruster
N.
