Recreation at Rifle Gap Reservoir is administered by the Colorado State Parks and
consists of camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, and fishing. There were
approximately 120,000 visitors to the State Park in 1994, and 96,500 in 1995.
Average annual visitation is probably around 100,000, and fishing has been the
primary activity.
