that concerns for the recovery of endangered native species should supersede the
interests of a very small (albeit vocal) group of sports anglers when they pressure
DOW to stock non-native species that could potentially compete with native
endangered fish. As this survey indicates, the siren song you constantly hear from
a small but organized portion of the angling community does not represent the
interests of the broader fishing community, let alone the general public.

I regret that I have not discussed the proposed plans with the Aquatic
Section staff in person before submitting these comments. However, I hope to sit
down with Eddie or Robin in the near future to go over our concerns and to hear
their views personally, and will call soon to see if we could get together.

Thank you, as always, for your attention to our comments and those of
