<br />Laughlin and Miscellaneous Users Below Hoover Dam-Uses in the Laughlin <br />area totaled about 4,400 acre-feet in 1993, but it is projected that the area will use <br />20,000 acre-feet by 2020. <br /> <br />Arizona <br /> <br />Imperial Wildlife Refuge-The Imperial Wildlife Refuge is entitled to divert <br />28,000 acre-feet per year or consumptively use 23,000 acre-feet per year, whichever <br />is less. In 1993, the Imperial Wildlife Refuge diverted 9,000 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Lake Havasu Wildlife Refuge-The Lake Havasu Wildlife Refuge is entitled to <br />divert 41,839 acre-feet or consumptively use 37,339 acre-feet per year, whichever is <br />less. In 1993, Lake Havasu Wildlife Refuge consumptive use was about 38,900 acre- <br />feet. <br /> <br />Fort Mohave Indian Reservation-The Fort Mohave Indian Reservation, located <br />below Davis Dam, is allocated water by the Supreme Court Decree to irrigate <br />18,974 acres ofland of which 14,916 acres are in Arizona; 2,119 acres are in <br />California; and 1,939 acres are in Nevada, with a maximum annual diversion from the <br />Colorado River of 122,648 acre-feet. The consumptive use required for irrigation of <br />these lands is estimated to be 4 acre-feet per acre. In 1993, the Fort Mohave Indian <br />Reservation in Arizona diverted about 59,600 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Kingman, Boulder Canyon Project-A contract was signed with the city of <br />Kingman, Arizona, for an annual diversion of 18,500 acre-feet. At the present time, <br />the city does not divert Colorado River water, although it is developing plans to do so <br />in the future. This contract water is not expected to be used until 2000. <br /> <br />Mohave Valley Irrigation and Drainage District-The Department of the Interior <br />and the Mohave Valley Irrigation and Drainage District signed a contract for an <br />annual diversion of 51,000 acre-feet. As a result of terms in the contract, the district <br />lost 10,000 acre-feet of its diversion in June 1979. The 10,000 acre-feet was assigned <br />to Bullhead City. AB development occurs within this district, the trend is toward <br />municipal uses and away from irrigation. In 1993, Mohave Valley Irrigation and <br />Drainage District diverted about 37,600 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Bullhead City and Other Municipal and Industrial-A contract was signed with <br />Bullhead City for an annual diversion of 8,200 acre-feet per year. In 1993, Bullhead <br />City and Mohave County Parks consumptive use was about 6,900 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Cibola Valley Irrigation and Drainage District, Parker, and Others-A contract <br />was signed with Cibola Valley Irrigation and Drainage District for an annual diversion <br />of 22,560 acre-feet. The Cibola Valley Irrigation and Drainage District diverted about <br />22,100 acre-feet in 1993. Total use by Cibola Valley Irrigation and Drainage District, <br />Parker, and others was 23,500 for 1993. <br /> <br />38 <br />
