Acknowledgements

This study was funded by the Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Fish
Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin. The Recovery Program is a joint effort of the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Western Area Power
Administration, states of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, Upper Basin water users,
environmental organizations, and the Colorado River Energy Distributors Association.
Larry Crist and Christine Karas, US. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado
Regional Office, Salt Lake City, Utah, administered the contract under Memorandum of
Understanding O-FC-40-08910. Robert Muth and Kevin Bestgen served as co-principal
investigators. Diane Miller served as collection assistant and was responsible for entering
most data in our collection catalog, locating corresponding specimens, resolving discrepancies,
upgrading containers and preservative as necessary, printing and inserting labels, and
reorganizing collections on storage shelving. Lynn Bjork, Rebecca Siekkinen, and Xiaoli Yu
also assisted with data entry and verification.
Following revision based on inhouse reviews and a proof reading by Maryann Snyder,
the draft report was submitted in February 1996 for external review by Charles McAda, U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service, Grand Junction, Colorado, Thomas Chart, Utah Division of
Wildlife Resources, Moab, Utah, and Steven Platania, Associate Curator of Fishes, Museum
of Southwestern Biology, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Based on those reviews, a further
revision was completed on 24 April 1996 and submitted as a final draft report to the
Recovery Program Biology Committee for approval as a final report; it was approved as such
on 4 June 1996.

Disclaimer

The mention of trade names or commercial products does not constitute endorsement
or recommendation by Colorado State University, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, or the
Recovery Implementation Program.

Suggested Citation

Snyder, D.
