'rl <br /> <br />The goal of the peer review effort is to develop recommendations to the ~./' <br />Program for a sediment monitoring program to help define habitat requirements ~ ' <br />for endangered fish in the Yampa, Little Snake, and Green Rivers, This <br />information can, in turn, be used to develop flow recommendations to maintain <br />habitats for endangered fish. <br /> <br />B: <br /> <br />Objectives: <br /> <br />(1) To identify and describe sediment issues as they relate to endangered fish <br />habitat in the Yampa, Little Snake, and Green Rivers. <br /> <br />(2) To identify, compile, and summarize existing sediment data for the <br />Yampa, Little Snake, and Green Rivers. <br /> <br />(3) To assemble a peer review panel and present the sediment issues and <br />data to the panel in a workshop forum. <br /> <br />(4) To have the peer review panel develop recommendations for future <br />sediment work to support Program efforts to recover endangered fish. <br /> <br />End Products: <br /> <br />(1) A report that presents the results of the peer review panel findings and <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />Yampa, Little Snake, and Green River Basins. <br /> <br />(1 ) <br /> <br />VI. This task will be accomplished by an expert in the fields of <br />hydrology and sedimentology, <br /> <br />A peer review panel will be selected from experts from both within and <br />without the program. These experts will have direct first hand <br />knowledge of the Yampa, Little Snake, and Green Rivers. <br /> <br />Two workshops will be held with the peer review panel. The first <br />workshop will familiarize the panel with the issues and data. The second <br />workshop will concentrate on the discussion of issues and the <br />development of recommendations, A third workshop/briefing will beheld <br />in conjunction with the annual researchers meeting to present the results <br />of the work to Program participants. <br /> <br />2 <br />
