Several authorized Federal water projects as yet unbuilt have a
potential to provide water services to future energy development directly
or indirectly. Those close to future energy sites would provide
direct supplies whereas others could do so by water exchange-transfer
arrangements. The Bureau of Reclamation has been asked by the Secretary
of the Interior to review the following authorized Federal Water
Projects with regard to their possible development with allocations
to energy purposes. These studies are presently underway; thus,
the potential allocations for energy presented below are preliminary
and subject to change.
