<br />Storage Facilities - The principal existing or under construction <br />storage facilities in the Upper Colorado River Basin that have or <br />will offer opportunities for supplying industrial water by 1980 are <br />shown in Table 7. It must be emphasized, however, that each of <br />these reservoirs is for multipurpose use and the amount of water <br />available to be released or withdrawn for any specific industrial <br />or other use will be governed by the applicable project authorities, <br />State laws, water right priorities, contracts, and compact provisions. <br />Other reservoirs to provide water for municipal and industrial <br />purposes are included in a number of authorized projects that are <br />ready for construction or in advanced stages of planning. These <br />reservoirs would be included under participating projects and thus <br />would be under jurisdiction of the pertinent conservancy districts. <br />Some of these project reservoirs could be constructed by 1980; however, <br />most of them will not deliver water until after that date. Major <br />storage projects are shown on the frontispiece map. <br /> <br />28 <br />
