-53- <br />Results <br />Except for only one set, all of the overnight net sets captured <br />lake trout. Sets completed on the second, fourth and eighth of November <br />included both small immature fish and larger mature fish (Table 22). <br />The mature fish were all ripe and one was releasing eggs. Lake trout <br />captured later in the month were mostly immature fish with a few ripe <br />males included. No ripe females were captured. <br />Size of the lake trout captured ranged from 203 mm and 62 g to <br />slightly over 1 m and almost 11.8 kg (26 lb). A wide range of size <br />classes were found between the extremes (Table 23). Most of the fish <br />were mature above the 650 - 699 mm size class. <br />Table 22. Daphnia <br />were found in 14% and fish eggs were found in 2%, both occurring in <br />only smaller individuals less than 400 mm total length.
