This may occur after several years of warmer, more
normal water temperature variations develop below the dam.
Catchable trout should be stocked for the next few years following
the timing used in 1977. Fingerlings, however, should be planted in
early summer to take advantage of warmer summer temperatures. If
fingerling growth increases as expected, then catchable trout numbers
should be decreased or eliminated and the less costly fingerlings should
be used to support the fishery.
